Weekend getaway ! Destination: Florence, Italy !

David by Michelangelo at the Uffizi Museum. So IMPRESSIVE !! Seeing the staty of David was definitely one of the many highlights of the trip ! Note: All the statues in the Uffizi Galleria looks exactly like the younger version of my dad , crazy resemblance !! Haha, I couldn't stop laughing.

Another Highlight was seeing the Birth of Venus by the great Antonio Botticelli (of course any kind of photographing strictly prohibited, that goes for the David as well but I couldn't help myself). Also at the Uffizi. So beautiful.

Enjoying "the last supper" in Italy, Penne with Pesto and of course red Wine. Delicious. Merci as my dad would say ! hahha.

Me going to Italy was to meet my old host family who has transfered here for a two month period of time. It was so great to meet the kids again, they were so much older, personalities the exact same !
It was a very intense weekend with a whole bunch of Museums and sightseeing. I think Iprobably walked enough for the rest of the year I might say. I'm in love with Italy and to describe Florence in one world would simply be: Impressive !

Did you get my last call ?

I got to be called the Fox today, from one of the kids in my kindergarten group. Don't know why..I think she said I was looking like one ..hmm (Last day of work btw !!)

I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel..I mean I'm ALMOST done with my first task/part of SHITT...But even before I get to finish these things a new project has already begun..when is it all going to end..?

I'm leaving for Florence next thursday. !!!

I need to find the discipline in order to finish in time. In my mind I got all the time in the world, so it's cool..in real time on the other hand..not so much..

Sometimes affection is a shy flower that takes time to blossom..

How on earth am I suppose to tell my life story simply through a few given objects, collected from my own house ? How will these objects capture the essence of my life? In what why do they describe me in the best way ?
What do Pettson and Findus, an old pair of shoes, my grandmom and an empty bottle of wine have to say about me ? That's about how far I've come ! A great deal more, I gather !

Who's loving you ?

Today was a very productive day, despite the lack of inspiration I managed to get a whole lot done, no new major art projects, just simple documentation of all my previews work/new stuff. I need to get it all in the computer so I can sample them together in a pretty way, and later on: off they go ! Into the unknown ...mohahha !
I still have some finishing touches to do on various things. I'm also very much depended on the daylight/sunlight. It's hard to capture a good picture with just the simple light source of a light bulb !

What does it take to find that one little thing that kicks you off into making great deals of all sorts of things ? Spectacular buildings, incredible engineering, the brand new brand of tomorrow ? I'm talking of course about inspiration..
Why the lack of inspiration ? Usually it overflows me, lately it's been kind of absent. Why now when it's needed the most ? I have great things planned for the future and if things are not going according to plan you could be sure of finding one extremely unhappy little girl..

I blame my not so tidy room, it distracts me.. tidy kitchen tidy mind ..

I need my knight in shiny armour...

It's officially Fridas 21th Birthday today ! February 7 ! I've known her my whole life and we've shared a whole lot of joyful moments together and let it be many many more !

Things you have done this year will never be relived again. Nothing will never turn out the exact same way as it once did. What fun would that be ( Including Christmas and Birthday ) ? It is an impossible request . All I am saying is (Give peace a chance) that a brand new year is on your door step ! No one knows what the future holds so let's just hope it is going to be a fabulous, endearing and a happy new year !

I will update Christmas eve 2011 on this rainy Christmas day !

I've been listening to Frank Sinatra - Have yourself a merry little Christmas repeatedly during these Holiday times and I'm pretty positive it's my favorite Christmas song/carol by all...

I woke up at 6 am !! Got dressed and everything, went downstairs to brew myself a nice cup of coffee, found myself a nice blanket and cuddled up in the living room sofa, put on an old record by David Bowie that my friend Cecilia had given me the night before, as part of my Christmas gift and just enjoyed the Christmas morning ! I got through three old records before the rest of the family started to wake up...and the rest of the day is now history..hhaha.. no, but I'll show you the day in pictures instead. Here we go :

I can't believe Christmas's over so soon. A whole other year until next time. And can you believe we're getting close to a brand new year- 2012 I wonder what it holds for each and everyone of us ?

Update: It's raining for heaven's sake !! This is SO NOT ideal for Christmas nor Winter time !!! ARgh !! I want to be able to go Snowboarding in the mountains !!!

Tomorrow's last day of work before the Holiday break -Won't return to kindergarten school until January 9th NEXT YEAR ! Can't wait !

I made a gingerbread house tonight: It turned out freakkin' great ! (not) Looks like a three year old made it ......-_- and on top of that I managed to score a burn of the third degree with blisters on several parts on my fingers/hand! gees. I have to work on my putting a -gingerbread -house -together - skill-..seriously...

Other than that..The Christmas tree has been decorated; classy, I'm working on the last needs of christmas shopping, we finally earned some snow and it's only two more days until Christmas !! Ho ho ho..

I'll give you Moto Boy in the spirit of giving in such times !!

When your mind's made up

I managed to send all my christmas packages out in the world in time this year ! yay. So I'll salute myself for that.. and to all of you out there (you know who you are) good things will come to those who wait hihi.

I think I hit a low point this weekend for whatever unknown reason,..I've just been off in a weird way. I will say I'm getting back on track again though..

Spent the day with favorite gran, downtown.. we defied the bad weather and had a nice day with a few succesful purchases and a nice cup of coffee ! Thank you Granny !

Tomorrow's back to work---I enjoyed the extended weekend I must say..only two more weeks until Christmas, I believe !
