Bridge over troubled water

I found myself amongst other things, sitting on the couch watching telly one day.


I also found this group of happy people singing and playing music together on a hugemongous piano. They always make me happy.


Another sunny day I took a walk and saw this sign.

But what I really am is just tired of life ! And how I'm supposed to do stuff I'm not doing ! Instead I'm listening to beautiful music that will always keep me happy..

An awesome day with Frida Lindgren a.k.a the Chef !!

Preperations + lots of LOVE = Two cups of splendid Coffee ! (well actually not that amazing to be honest with you, something went wrong on the way, but they sure do look good !!)

I got an early wake up call this morning by no less than my favorite chef ! 9.53am on a saturday morning is not human !!!

Frida arrived around 12.30 pm and we started off right away with a nice cup of coffee while watching CAKE BOSS !! That got us inspired enough to take a walk down to Strömiss and Maxi to buy ingrediens for dinner ! We decided to make Thai food and it was delicious ! We were a true dream team in the kitchen today, as alaways !! For dessert we made a chocolate cake with white chocolate icing ! = DELISH(?) DELICIOUS !
We topped it off with Baileys and coffee with whipped cream on top !

When we were more than full, we decided to go out in the snowy weather again and play around ! We were almost (read: Definitely) chased by a car and we made snowangels and roly polies down a sloap. Felt just like being 7 y/o again ! LOTS OF FUN !

We are listening to Simon and Garfunkel and eating candy and nuts at the moment ! Totally fab. As if we aren't full already. !!

It's been an awesome day, Stina! Thanks for the hospitality. (Thanks SO MUCH for the invitation.) I really liked playing outside! And the dinner.. Ohman, if Gordon Ramsay had tasted our food, he'd been in 7th heaven! Hallelujah!! I'll thank God for have given me this day and......World Peace.

Jumped into a car with people you just met? I carpooled from San Francisco to Los Angeles once with a group of complete strangers to go see a U2 concert. Pretty darn fun!
Been in a fist fight? Does it count when you're like three years old argueing with your siblings over something extreamly silly? Then yes.
Sneaked out of your house? I like to think I'm always sneaking out of the house.
Been a victim of unrequited love? How would I know the answer to this question, I can only speak for my own feelings!!

It's not funny cold outside.

It's freeeezin' ! Not funny ! I haven't even been outside today, but in just a little while, I'll be going to my dance class, so then I just have to face the killer Coldness ..Brrrr ! (super excited about my class though hohhho )

Other news to tell:
I've got my first exam assignment part 1 two days ago from my university ! So far it actually goes pretty well (knock on wood) I'm happy with what I've come up with this far, but I still have a long way to go, not to mention the second part ! I've been working on this all day. The good thing is that I have two weeks to finish the whole assignment ! So I should be able to pull it off ! ...-hopefully-

I was invited over to the Chef last night for dinner ! VERY nice and she was very happy with the ukulele I gave her as a belated birthday gift. Better late than never I like to say !

I've been having a nice "taking the walk"- marathon lately, by Hanson! And it reminds me once again of why I love those guys so much; they're incredibly talented, passionated and simply the greatest!! All the love in the world to you!
Not only are they producing great music to the world but they're taking advantage of their own fame to make a difference in this world ! By taking the walk, they want to inspire other people to see the fact that something so simple as a walk can make a difference for other people in need! Taking the walk is a one mile barefoot walk to feel how it is not to have a pair of shoes, like so many kids in Africa don't. Hanson encourage people to check out "Tom's shoes" because everytime you buy a pair of Tom's shoes a pair of shoes will be sent to Africa for a kid who doesn't have them!
You guys ROCK!

Busy Weekend !

This has been a very busy weekend (for once). I ended up working(!!) on Friday between 4.30pm-00.30am at a restaurant in town where my friend is working as well ! Super hectic and tiring (especially on my back) But it was a really good experience of cashiering, waitressing and such..
I sleept more than well after that evening standing on my two legs for 8 and a half hour in a row, with barely any breaks ! Crazyness !

On Saturday, my friend Frida had her B-day celebrating party thing ! It started with a nice dinner at her place and ended up on the danceflooor later at night ! ^^ It was really fun with nice company !

Today Sunday, I usually go to Danceclass, but today (a misunderstanding) I did not! I'm gonna change my dancing group (hopefully fingers crossed) to a different one with a higher level on Wednesday nights instead ! I hope that will work out !
So I had a nice fika-catching up-date with my dear friend Emz instead! Really niiiice !

I'm super tired tonight after all crazyness and dancing aall night long. But I need to catch up on my reading for schuul, AND I'm gonna have a nice skype-dejt with my darlings Isi and Alice tonight as well ! Sweetness !

21 Jump Street !

A star was born on this DAY: 21-01-90 !
hooho I celebrated my 21th B-day last Friday ! I had friends over for Dinner and it was very nice!
My friend Frida a.k.a the Chef, and I, spent many hours in the kitchen: a result of two delicious quiche and two dessert cakes: Yummy !
Not much to say about being one year older, it feels pretty much the same. The way I see it: it's just another year closer to DEATH..no not really but..almost ..I should have been in America this year insted of last year, since it makes me legally allowed to buy alcohol and such now höhö.
No benefits in Sweden---

I started my danceclass again today. It was pretty fun, kind of same old same old with similar steps and stuff, but I guess/hope it will get better !

Oh I'm scared of the middle place between light and nowhere

I had my first class of History of Design today; Design former och idéer 1851-2001 *FUN* at the Umeå institue of Design ! Fancy I must say, and it makes me feel gooood !
The class was okey, kind of a slow start but the teacher seems very competent and passionate about the subject, so I think the class will be good ! First mission tmrw: to get all the books I need for this course ! Exciiitiiing !

Part 2.

Rennes
Our journey continued on towards the countryside and Alices hometown Betton, La Lice in Rennes on Sunday night. After a two hour trainride did we arrive around midnight at Alices house, so cute.

Monday morning and we're having breakfast tea from le bol (skål) A new fun habit of mine, still weird. We're driving downtown Betton for some shopping and coming back home later for a surprise pre celebrating of my B-day ! SO CUTE ! Thanks again for the fun presents :D ! Lots of Love !
Tuesday we're going downtown Betton again and then having German dinner and Swedish dessert topped with a Partheey with Alices friends.. LOTS of FUN!
After only two hours sleep that night, we woke up Wednesday morning to go to St. Malo and Le Mont Saint-Michel with Alices family ! It was so beautiful ! Minas Tirith from Return of the King was inspired by Le Mont Saint-Michel which is so awesome !

A trip to France .....

Paris



Arriving 6.55 pm at the Charles de Gaulle airport of France ! So excited and happy to see Alice and Isi again, greeting me right there at the arrivals ! "Welcome Stina or Donnie Darko" The best !
We spent 4 incredible days in beautiful Paris ! Got to see so many cool things and places thanks to our tour guide: Simply the best: Alice Butet !
We were joined by Guillaume (Alices boyfriend) on Friday, who filled us in on historical and architectural facts about the buildings of Paris ! Very Nice.
My favorite highlight from these four days (besides reu
niting with Alice and Isi OF COURSE) was the coffeebreak we had unexpectedly at the Amelié from Montmartre CoffeeBar ! That was "an out of this world"-experiance for me! I'm forever thankful for that visit brought on me by Alice! Luv.
During these four days we also got to see (as the tourists we were): Sacré Coeur, Montmartre, Arch the triumph, tour eiffel, the ópera, Le Louvre, Saint Chapelle, Notre Dame, Moulin Rouge, the old town and heart of Paris, Point Neuf and lots more just by walking down the streets..Not to mention the "to die for"- view we had from our apartment near Montmartre. Overlooking the city, the Eiffel tower and Sacré Coeur right there from the hugemongous balcony. F A B U L O U S !

NEW YEAR'S EVE 2010/2011 !!

New year thoughts;

1. I'm officially switching this blog into English only ! I figured out I have friends outside these borders (secretly following my blog) who do not understand the spoken language: SWEDISH ! So from now on it will be all in English.

2. I have a half full (half empty if you'd like) Suitcase in front of me ! I'm packing for FRANCE ! I'm so excited so I had to start packing a WEEK before departure ! (typical me some would say..) Can't w8 to see my California Gurls !

3. I think this will be a good year! I have many plans for the future and I hope it will run according to plan...all of them!
